On July 1, 2025, the EIA Commission conducted a technical inspection in Venice. In addition to staff from the Commissioner’s Office and the Port System Authority, representatives of the bodies involved in this procedure (Ministry of Culture, Superintendency, Interregional Public Works Office/Lagoon Authority, Veneto Region, Metropolitan City, Municipality of Venice, District Basin Authority, ISPRA, ARPAV), the Port Authority, and the Financial Police were present.

During the inspection, the areas where the interventions referred to in Legislative Decree 103/2021 will be carried out and the related infrastructure, were visited.
